We have 30 twin bedded rooms, all with private shower and toilet facilities. Half the rooms have balconies for optimal fjord viewing. The remainder of the rooms have mountain views. To maintain a tranquil environment, you will not find TV's and phones in the guest rooms.

Our property has a large, private lawn area that extends down to the seaside. For the hardy tourist wishing to literally experience one of Norway's most beautiful fjords, the temperature during the summer months is suitable for swimming.

Balestrand is the ideal destination if you are seeking a tranquil, relaxing and friendly atmosphere. The surrounding mountains offer a multitude of hiking possibilities for the light walker or the hardy trekker. Balestrand is also the perfect starting point to base oneself for the numerous excursions in the Sognefjord region.

When making your reservation, please inform us of your estimated time of arrival and the method by which you are arriving. If coming by express boat, ferry or bus, we would be happy to meet you at the harbour or bus stop. If travelling by car, feel free to call en route and we can assist with routings, travel times/distances or ferry schedules. Please advise us if you will be arriving after 6:00pm. All rooms will be released after 6:00pm unless we have been informed of a late arrival or the room has been guaranteed with a credit card.
